BAJA HOUSING
Engineers Without Borders - UCSB partners with a San Diego-based organization that has successfully built 1000s of small homes in Mexico in Baja California, Mexico for disadvantaged families. Families are selected by a Mexican organization on the basis of need. The homes are simply designed and can be constructed within 4 days by a team of 15-20 people with or without construction experience. EWB-UCSB typically begins recruiting participants in early Fall quarter of each year. This project is not only for current members, all students across campus are encouraged to participate.
