Engineers Without Borders-UCSB is a student run organization founded in October 2003. Our growing membership is open to all interested persons from all fields and currently includes students, staff, and off-campus collaborators.

Our Mission

The mission of Engineers Without Borders - USA (EWB-USA) is to partner with disadvantaged communities to improve their quality of life through implementation of environmentally and economically sustainable engineering projects, while developing internationally responsible students.

Rwanda News!

Marshall, Zach, and Tony had a fun and successful trip to the ESAPAN School in Rwanda. We are looking forward to working with the admin and the students!

First Rwanda Trip!

Yesterday on August 9th, 2014, three EWB members departed for the first trip of our Rwanda project. There, they will gather essential information to bring back to the team in UCSB. We look forward to hearing from them when they return on August 15th!

FIRST GENERAL MEETING OF SPRING QUARTER 4/14/14

Our first general meeting of the quarter is this Monday April 14 at 7 PM in ESB 2001. We will address the following topics:

  • New Project update
  • EWB BBQ/Social
  • Local projects: partnering with UCSB sustainability and YStrive
  • Training officers for next year
